Over Christmas, we got kittens. Slowly, they acclimated to my wife and, a bit later, to me. One, a chubby now-nine month old beige tuxedo named Lulu Belle, has bonded especially to me. We’re buddies.
The agony comes in when she wants to be close to me. She loves leaping onto my shoulder… from any height. Needless to say my shoulder has been minced pretty good.
The ecstasy comes in when she feels secure enough in her perch that she just relaxes. She’ll sit on my shoulder, or drape over it. In any case she purrs right into my ear and it couldn’t be more obvious how much she loves me.
