Also the whole reason my gf googled this is because I had been listening to a podcast that talked about god’s penis (Data Over Dogma) which is hosted by two other guys named Dan

...I thought it had a slightly familiar look, in terms of cobalt chemistry, and indeed it's approximately the same color as chloropentamminecobalt(3) chloride, CoCl(NH₃)₅Cl₂, an easily prepared and slightly soluble complex of trivalent cobalt.
