I never would've guessed that the most dystopian commercials of the 2020s would be for Grammarly.
Hello! I'm an artist, writer, and game developer. I work for @7thBeatGames on "A Dance of Fire and Ice" and "Rhythm Doctor."

I run @IndieGamesofCohost where I share screenshots and spotlights of indie games. I also interview devs here on Cohost.

Oh, this right here? This baby? Well....heh. You know the artform? Like, this whole artform, that this is a part of? This whole concept? Well, take it a good look...because this is the STATE of it.

Sega paid some youtuber to make a parody animation to promote Shadow Generations and honestly I think it was a good choice.
I also think it goes to show how much easier it is to capture the feeling of Sonic in 2D animation rather than 3D. Plus, it's very easy to swap between "funny" and "epic" vibes when you're animating in 2D (check 2:58-3:28 in the video) because they play with similar ideas, like smears, quick timing, exaggerated poses and contrasting sizes.
rhythm game mapmakers are on another level. what the hell is this
minute 1: oh that's cute! i like the special twists and challenges
minute 3: uh
minute 5: UH
minute 7: UHHHHH
This is one of our games, and I've seen a lot in the years working on it, but I sincerely don't understand anything that occurs in the final 60 seconds of this video.
yeah okay that 'similar to games you've played' looks right
