That's so valid. Honestly it's a look. Unique blend of like, very iconic images of two different eras of computer design. Also I love the big port-looking things on Cherry's collarbone ooo. They look like USB-C to me but the monitor looks way older...

You're right, his monitor predates USB-C by almost 15 years! The collarbone ports aren't meant to be any specific type of port so far. It's even possible that he breathes through them or something.

Ohhh my god I didn't even think about him breathing... Ooooh I'm imagining like an air transfer situation like I remember some species just have patches of skin where they do air transfer. Was it like. Fish or insects? I can't remember. But like wow I love this detail. Ooooh does Coward breathe through her ventilator thing? Does Cherry have one? I haven't seen his type of monitor irl in like at least a decade so idk where the airflow is on it.

Coward doesn't need to breathe because her whole body is a robot body! But Cherry has some organic/human parts, so he ostensibly needs an oxygenated blood supply if nothing else. There were two versions of the PC that Cherry is made out of, tray-loading (with fans) and slot-loading (without fans). Cherry is slot-loading, so the airflow is only through small vents, which is why he would need a different "port" to breathe through. ^_^
