to be completely honest sometimes i misspell words on purpose because the correct spelling just looks wrong or is too unintuitive. like i always say stripey instead of stripy. i would pronounce stripy as strippie if i didn't know better but stripey is obviously stripey. it evokes stripe. stripy does not
