gonna be hilarious when they make the switch 2 and have to make another smash bros
like, after naming the current one "ultimate" and explicitly being like "we are sick of making these so we're putting all the characters/stages/music from the previous games in there and creating Ultimate smash"
are they gonna make Ultimate 2: Ultimate-er. are they gonna rename it Penultimate. are they just gonna pretend none of this happened. every possible outcome is funny
I think the best way forward for Smash after Ultimate is to do a reboot back to basic characters and completely rework the gameplay and all of the character movesets. Call it Super Smash Bros 2.
Would breathe some fresh air into the franchise and avoid them having to build on top of the colossal (but fun) mess that is Ultimate.
