for Disability Pride Month i recommend this collection of essays i just finished! as with any anthology it can be hit or miss but some of these essays are truly incredible. i haven’t read as many first person accounts of disability as i’d like to and hearing what i feel and experience described so eloquently is extremely relieving; i don’t feel so alone. my favorite essay was “Six Ways of Looking at Crip Time” by Ellen Samuels! Alice Wong has another collection called Disability Intimacy which I haven’t read yet but am excited to dive into!
