I was going down another of Pinterest's rabbit holes when I clicked on the ArtStation profile of a concept artist, and to my surprise, I found a couple of Baldur's Gate 3 pieces! Among them, a surprising revelation: we almost got a Gnome Village in the game!

Now I'm sad that we didn't get to see that. I understand why, though. As much as the concept is great, where would this village even be? 😅 Act 2 is a desolate place, so I don't think it would fit. Act 3, in the city, wouldn't make much sense either unless it was a tiny village, which would be boring too. Act 1 would be the only option, but then again, it's already crowded with so many amazing things to do and see. It would be different if it were a small Goblin Village with perhaps some Goblins that fled the Absolute, but I can see how a Gnome Village would feel displaced and "too much."

And now we'll never see it since Larian will no longer work on Baldur's Gate or DnD 😭😭 Fucking Hasbro...
