* "chimping" refers to the act of taking a picture, then checking the LCD to see what you got. it is used derogatorily and i think this is a completely asinine, gatekeepy, elitist thing to be judgmental about. yes, there is a philisophically interesting quality to not knowing what pictures you got until you get home, but to suggest that anyone who doesn't work that way is somehow lesser for it is just shitty. it is perfectly reasonable, on its face, to want to know if you got a photo, so you can try again if you missed it. lomographers dni
