We are all shaped by a lifetime of experiences, but artists are unique in this world. Artists express their emotions and their experiences through their art. Each piece they produce is like a little window into their mind -- a snapshot of their being in a specific fleeting moment of their existence. It gives you a glimpse into how they experience the world. Even if the art in question is a commission or a piece created in the course of work, it is a piece that is inescapably influenced by who they are and what they were feeling when they created it.
A work of art is so unique to the individual that produced it that for a given work, it was only ever possible for that particular individual to have produced that particular work of art in that particular moment in time. When you buy a work of art, be it a drawing, painting, model, or even a 3D printed object, you are not just buying that file or physical item. You are paying to see a bit of the world from that artist's perspective.
That perspective is something that a machine will never have, because a machine can't possess the greater context of the human experience. The best AI can ever hope to achieve is mimicry.
So long live the artist.
