i joined another Discord server and it's ALL Telegram bridges. Every regular channel (i.e. not #announcements or #info) is full of forwarded messages from a matching Telegram group. No one has spoken a native Discord message in months. The bridge is also crude and hard to know at a glance who's talking. The Discord is more or less an ad for the Telegram and not actually usable directly.

A lot of the other servers I'm in are ghost towns with only one being a unicorn, a general chat server with genuine activity at reasonable levels that I actually want to participate in. As a point of comparison I'm in a handful of topic specific servers that are wildly busy at all times and I really just want the announcements or to ask a question once a year.

But anyway, it's seeming like I have to find communities that do NOT have Telegram groups to find ones that are actually using anything else they have.
