If you're a Vector Graphics Artist and you're not posting in SVG on Cohost, you're missing out on the animated format of all time! File sizes tend to be comically smaller than any raster format if you're drawing something that's just a bunch of shapes, and you can do Incredibly Cursed Shit like combining multiple animated elements that are timed differently and don't ever line up again, which is good for seamless loop effects.
But most importantly, your artwork can be scaled up and down and still look extwa cwispy. (Wanna use that banner at double size? Go for it!)
I've been using Inkscape to make assets and then hand-editing in the animation, but if you want a more traditional timeline-based editor, Glaxnimate is janky but familiar (and Glax is best dragon).
Also PLEASE upload buttons to Cohost. I wanted to add a few to my profile but it's Not A Good Idea to leech off of other websites, and all of the ones I found from other chosters were leeching form Neocities.
In summary, I want this website to Get Weird in the best way possible and I think SVG is the way to do it, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
