these are based on vibes and vibes only. don't talk to me about grounding pins and safety concerns I do not care. idk what the ratings are out of those are based on vibes too. images are all from Wikipedia

NEMA (polarized)

NEMA plug with two parallel rectangular pins, one with a bulbous head
this is the most common one I see where I live. perfectly neutral plug to me
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

NEMA (unpolarized, grounded)

two NEMA plugs, the first one without the bulbous head, the second one with an additional round grounding pin below the two live pins
variants of the above. something feels off about unpolarized pins. the grounded plug represents sturdiness and reliability to me, but they're difficult to remove
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ and πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Europlug (CEE 7/16)

a Europlug with two rounded parallel pins in a flat plug form
sleek, beautiful, elegant
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Italian (CEIΒ 23-50)

a flat plug with three parallel rounded pins
I'm sorry but that just looks silly. I know it's basically the same as the Europlug with an extra grounding pin but that just looks like Too Many pins
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Schuko (CEE 7/4)

a Schuko plug with two rounded parallel pins in a round plug form
rounded plugs give me old-timey vibes that I like. however it has the same pins as the Europlug while taking up much more space
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Soviet (GOST 7396)

a GOST 7396 plug with two rounded parallel pins in a round plug form, along with an inside view where the pins are simply connected to two wires
what the fuck
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

British Standard (BS 1363)

two BS 1363 plugs trapezoidal with two horizontally parallel pins at the base of the trapezoid and one vertical pin above them
I hate it. I hate it. it's ugly it's chunky it's a pain to grasp and unplug its shape has bad vibes I hate it.
Rating: πŸ”Œ

Australasian (AS/NZS 3112)

a round plug with two rectangular pins angled outwards and third pin below them
the angled pins, the round plug shape... it's cute, but it carries with it some of the bad vibes from the british plug
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Danish (107-2-D1)

a round plug with two round pins and a third D-shaped pin below them so that the socket looks like a :D face
omg look how cute and happy it is! the socket is making a :D face and the plug is making a :Þ face ❀️
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Swiss (SN 441011, Type 12)

a squashed hexagonal plug with three pins, middle one lower than the other two, and an outlet with three sockets arranged radially
first of all I love the squashed hexagonal plug form. second of all that outlet! the innovation! the symmetry! I am in LOVE with this arrangement
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ

Swiss (SN 441011, Type 15)

a plug with five pins arranged like die pits, two on the top are square
what the cthulhulian fuck
Rating: πŸ”ŒπŸ”Œ
This is a reproduction of a cybre.space thread where I also rated outlet plugs. However, I did the ratings and comments from scratch, so they might differ if my opinion has changed over time.
