grabbed my DSR-250 camcorder off the shelf to test video input on my Toaster NT. plugged in power and nothing happened. pulled out the power cable and the whole 4-pin XLR plug came with it. opened the case, found that the screw holding the inner pin assembly and switch in place was missing. it's not rattling around in the camera. it was never there. how did this ever work.

on the one hand: Thanks to the industry-ready, best-in-class design of the Sony DSR family camcorders, I was able to perform the repair and return the unit to service in under ten minutes.

but conversely: God does present us challenges, to test our faith
