various interests zone, currently most focused on petz hexing and digimon. i'm working on a website for my monster tamer universe.

i've never been able to get into spectrobes despite at least mildly investigating most monster collectors i encounter in the wide world but every time i see the name i assume it's microbe inspired creatures and then refresh myself on the designs and get solely disappointed. i really should stop holding it against it though, maybe it's cool even if it's not germs.

I think the pun is "spectrum" and "strobes" since the elements in the game are light-related (Aurora, Flash, and Corona) (although looking it up a later game apparantly changed it to a more normal elemental system apparantly?), but also I only played a bit of the first game before dipping out due to the battle system not being to my taste.

makes sense! i don't usually have energy to check out most games so i'd be watching a play through anyway... i do think a light based elemental system is interesting, if i were doing it i'd probably try to base it off how irl colored light interacts? admittedly i don't know much about how that works but i feel like you could get some cool interactions off that.
