the thing that always strikes me, reading about past protests and demonstrations that we think of as flashpoints, is that big demonstrations, something with lots of people, is almost worse than useless. cops are very prepared for that. but lots of small demonstrations, big enough to warrant some sort of police presence, spread out over a large area, close together? THATS what gets cops worried, because then you’re stretching them thin
also that everyone needs media training. i need media training. everyone go get media training. or organize it if you can train others
i mean, thinking about this, it’s essentially proposing tactics of insurgency and propaganda, which we know are more effective against empire. i almost wonder if this is part of why ppl so often seem resistant to the idea, whether on a conscious or subconscious level— it almost feels like an escalation, even if the way protests are treated by police and local governments are ALREADY escalated
