checking out Bluesky and all the content filtering options seem like a nice tool at first glance and you might guess that means they let you manually flag your own content as nudity or violence or w/e without automated nsfw flagging because that's sort of how it works on Twitter (but there's Also automated flagging working behind the scenes regardless of what you do ofc), until you realize there's actually no way to manually label your posts as one category or another. it's actually kind of worse than Twitter by sucker punching you with that expectation; moderation is really just like every other corporate social, all done for you by AI and moderators who are supposed to scour all the posts and there's no way to opt out of automated labeling. can't imagine how that will affect queer users!
