i'm kind of stuck because i'm pretty certain i know the answer, and i'm expressing it in a way that works in every regex flavour i've put it through
but when i submit it, it's telling me "WORD" would match your pattern, but... doesn't when i stick it into any of the regex engines i'm testing against, so idk how it's interpreting what i've entered or how to express this...
I'm stuck too. I feel like I have the right answer, but the rejection response isn't making sense.
yeah, i had the same problem - it turns out i was reading it backwards, when it says:
According to your guess, example-word would not match the pattern, but it does
i was reading it as though example-word should not match the pattern, and i got hung up and confused on the "but it does" part - because it absolutely did not match my regex, and i got real hung up trying to figure what was going on
Thank you! I thinked I was skipping the "not" or my brain just parsed it wrong. I was able to solve today's, which is nice because I don't really know regex, so I really feel like I'm learning it!

yeah i think the wording is a little bit not obvious maybe?
also an online regex tester like https://regex101.com/ can be useful to test whether the regex you're composing actually does what you intend for it to do!
