I'm not like all the other girls - I'm doing Advent of Code in Haskell, not Rust.

I thought I was weird three years ago for doing advent of code in rust, but of course it turns out I was just an egg

I started HRT ~9 months later and discovered there is nothing unique about any of my experiences; my entire personality is a pile of stereotypes

The one thing that's disappointed me about Rust so far is that I finished reading The Rust Programming Language months ago, and I still haven't gotten my cat ears headband in the mail. Maybe I need to email someone.

I mean, like, come on: monads, lazy evaluation, category theory / abstract algebra, type-level crimes

It is usually easy to get a grip on bottoms by showing a value and waiting to see how much gets printed before the first exception is encountered.

ive done some of advent of code in excel before and honestly it works out really well? like excel is Pretty Damn Good for programming purposes (although you will quickly run into lots and lots of Hard Problems like "how do i implement triply nested for loops)
