see: today, on an airplane (to Amsterdam! please email me at jade at jade dot fyi if you are there and want to meet up!), which I thought had AC power at the seats but I cannot find any evidence of such (and the carrier seems to not say if they have them).
anyway, this 5 year old laptop has somehow, with default nixos configuration, managed a cool like, 6 hours of continuous use or something. neato. turns out the optimization i did on arch probably did nothing lmao since this is basically the same results.
last time i had one of these moments was at a passport office with a work M1 macbook which was at ~30% state of charge which I managed to get 4 hours out of. nowhere to charge. oops.
