In an attempt to rekindle my experience with the irish language, I've been playing this gaeilge fan translation of link's awakening, which has been fun for me because of how deeply familiar I am with LA and its dialogue.
I really love the tutorial child here, who normally tells you "I heard you can press SELECT to look at the map, but I don't know what that means since I'm a kid".
But here he's saying "I heard you can look at the map by pressing SELECT, but I don't know English so I don't understand what that means." It's a really cute localisation that retains the spirit of the original line while still being in line with the quirky tone of Link's Awakening in general. Great stuff!
