On the one hand, it feels more inappropriate than usual to rock bright and playful colors in this Armored Core setting. I dunno, something about my lobotomized bomb collar slave pilot flying an orange traffic cone feels wrong.
On the other, I can't deny those colors rock!
In the cold corporate hellscape that every augmented pilot finds themselves trapped within, with their humanity routinely stripped away, made to commit terrible acts of violence in the name of profit... what is the one form of self expression they have? Their AC, their surrogate body. It it endlessly customizable, and I don't doubt that painting it funny colors is a source of joy, one of the few they have.
