bit of a silly thing i felt the need to work on a while back and then never posted anywhere. sonic cd has a handful of unique small animal sprites that don't appear in any of the other sonic games, but the sprites for them were always kinda. bad. so i decided to redo them to be more in line with the original sonic 1 graphics and also added some front facing poses to bring them in line with the other games. everything here in the red boxes is something i either edited or drew myself. the rest are taken directly from sonic 1 (or are untouched sonic cd-original in the case of that animation of the penguin laying on the floor. i didn't think that one needed any work) for reference/comparison.
just for fun, i also decided to come up with some names for these animals, since they never got any. most of which are just me taking one syllable from the japanese names for their species and putting them in front of "cky" lol
Canary: Nocky/ナッキー
Dove: Hocky/ハッキー
Swallow: Bocky/バッキー
Sheep: Mucky/ムッキー
Sunfish: Macky/マッキー
