I'm grumpy that my shower for some reason wont give me full temp when I crank the hot water all the way up.

Granted this is likely intentional because I've scalded my hands washing dishes before, the hot water is hot, duh,

but the way it's set in the shower is just, not hot enough? Ya girl wants to cook a little bit, ya know?

Sounds like the water heater (or mixing valve (or stuck mixing valve)) is set too hot. At the same time, the shower has some mechanism that is limiting its temperature. My shower valve has a hidden set screw on a sliding block that limits how far you can turn the knob hot-ward. Good luck finding the adjuster on whatever shower hardware you have.
