Did you ever stop and wonder about all those random consumables and healing and recovery items that are found in RPGs - digital and tabletop - that have probably been laying around for hundreds of years?
Surely some of them would have spoiled?
Packaged foods would likely have been eaten by vermin or just petrified. Anything plant-based would have rotted or decayed.
Potions tho…
You gotta assume a lot of them have an alcohol base, or if not that, a juice or fructose base…
…those will have fermented. Question is whether they’ve turned into wine or cider?
Would they have gotten stronger? Taste worse, better?
