i have a few userscripts (on chrome for android (it is very fucked up)), but the same thing happens on a browserstack reference device (samsung galaxy S22 with latest chrome from the app store on a real device) with no extensions, so that shouln't cause it
interesting!! I'm messing around with my extensions right now to see if any of them were blocking it. turning off uBlock origin surprisingly did not fix it. and neither did turning off FF's "enhanced tracking protection" for cohost.org
seems like that is on your end, it works both in a browserstack reference browser & my firefox on win11

No problem, thanks for helping catch an edge case I hadn't thought of :) I can't update posts people have already made to fix it, but the code generated by my chiframe generator now shows a message if you have link previews off.
