troublesome fox girl

hello i like to make video games and stuff and also have a good time on the computer. look @ my pinned for some of the video games and things. sometimes i am horny on @squishfox

there were only six entrants so that's maybe not as exciting as it sounds, but i'm happy about it!

the theme was "ahead of time", defined as:

  • The level must take more time to complete than the starting timer.
  • Completing the level should require the player to be aware of the timer.

my level here is called Time Dilation and you can play it in lexy's labyrinth! (warning: due to a mechanism, there is an annoying sound playing at all times so perhaps turn down sfx volume, or just mute the tab)

completing it does require knowing a few cc2 basics. you can probably work most of them out by fucking around, except for one subtler trick: you can choose which direction you exit a red teleporter by holding a direction while you're teleporting. oh, and the "frame" blocks can rotate on train tracks.

anyway the gimmick in the level is that you have 30 seconds to complete it, which is not enough time. however the cerise player in the lower left is set up in such a way as to pause/unpause the timer every single tic, which effectively causes it to run at half-speed. and 60 seconds is ample time (if you plan your route and understand what you're doing).

i don't remember when i figured out that this would work, but it was such a simple and compact idea that is only useful for exactly this contest. so i ran with it. and it worked out!

Okay it took me a good fifteen minutes to figure out how to do it because I didn't actually know what any of the special tiles did at first but I did solve it! Thanks for mentioning the teleporter exit direction thing, I had to reread that to actually parse its relevance >_>

The cute picture of Lexy and Cerise at the end made me smile (Lexy is, indeed, great).
