i didn't know jack lance and only recently encountered his puzzles, but there's some mad genius in them, so it's a bit of a sucker punch to hear that he died a few days ago
so please glimpse him how i did: through OCTOGRAM, a delightfully tricky word game
i notice that on apr 27, he rigged his github.io page to refer to him in past tense starting from apr 30. then he "passed away suddenly" on may 1.
i feel like that tells me a lot about him.
very sad.
