What it says about the person who said it, is more important than the impact of the words themselves.
When I was in high school I had a lot of variations of "kms" in my vocabulary, but over time I've realized how hurtful and disrespectful it can be, even if I'm just joking about myself. I lose a slight bit of respect for someone whenever I hear anyone use it nowadays--even I still slip up sometimes and I always feel bad right after
you're equating "telling someone to their face to kill themselves" to "being angry in semi-private spaces about someone who specifically planned to weaponize their suicide against us and lashed out in various other ways"
like the inciting incident for my post here is a massive banner at a rally or parade or something that just directs "kill yourself" in the general direction of transphobes. at one point joll wanted to kill themselves on our front lawn, presumably to punish us. you can't perceive any difference in circumstance here?
it's not good. there are even people in these very screenshots expressing that they hate feeling this way. but they were trying to be honest about their feelings and work them out. and notably none of this was said to joll, at least until someone paraded it around and @'d joll with it on twitter. i don't see you calling them out, though
like tem and glip literally saved joll's life? what the fuck
