two years ago i decided i was tired of grass and wanted to try replacing the yard with clover
so we got a nasty-lookin tool that churned up the top layer of soil to give seeds an easier time (and get rid of a lot of the grass), spread a bunch of clover seed everywhere, and sat back to watch
and our sprinklers immediately broke and we have had a hell of a time getting them fixed. without regular watering, the tiny clover sprouts mostly died in the summer sun
anyway a few patches were spared because they happened to be in shade all day, and here's one. the clover is way taller than i expected but i love it. just little clump of friendly guys with a few little fluffy flowers
someone is finally taking a look at the plumbing issues though and i've optimistically thrown some more clover seeds around while it's still being rainy so, fingers crossed
(the bag says stuff like "rake into soil" but that is difficult to do without destroying the scattered clover that's already there soooo we'll just see what happens)
