and man map12+13 got weirdly brutal. i think i entered 13 with almost full ammo and left with less than half, too. i am not sure how you would possibly pistol start that thing, i don't think there's even a berserk??
this is not a very exciting post i was just struck by the spike and i'm not streaming so i don't have anyone to say this to
map 12 is probably my least favorite in the whole wad. if you're not pistol starting it's probably slightly less bad but it's still a massive, unending scavenger hunt to get all the weapons and kills.
according to my notes I found the plasma rifle secret in map 13 which helped a lot. there's also a rocket launcher secret before the double archvile trap but I didn't find that and had to corral them as best as I could with the super shotgun. and you are correct, there is no berserk.
damn relying on secrets in btsx is rough too because they are often not fucking around. i haven't lingered to hunt for them at the end of the maps but i've found maybe half of them so far, if that
