so if you remember my previous attempt at distinguishing between gecko and blink with only css, i said that subgrid was stripped out by cohost. well, i was wrong, sorry. it works fine, but i did grid: subgrid; which is invalid and should have been grid: subgrid / subgrid;.
i'm on my phone so i don't want to try recreating the engine detection with subgrid at the moment, but you can have this instead. it uses a prefixed property though so it's kinda lazy and cheating tbh
