a fun thing i learned when i was working on heresy is there literally is no real standard for basic whatsoever. it is whatever your interpreter developer decided it would be.
DarkBasic or QBasic, depending on how involved we want to make things, IMO

Before I left Twitter I followed a bunch of people who developed smile basic games, and discovered at least one was a developer ona bunch of fun Sega Genesis games back in the day. I bet that crowd would love a feature like this haha
