little frustrating to feel like i did a lot of work and then write a changelog and see it mostly boil down to "i made 1 level". like the camera went through several big messy revisions before landing where it is now, and so did platform movement, and the visible impact of both of those things is "they work like they oughta". dangit

anyway since i have the space for it on cohost, here's a changelog


new

  • sewers-01 is like 70% done, though it still has a big gaping hole in the middle
  • sewers-02 is mostly complete, but will need overhauling (blue platforms are too confusing, and i don't think it does a great job conveying how platforms+levers work), so enjoy it while it's there. note that the hearts aren't numbered so they won't be tracked correctly
  • both levels have drone dungeons

changed

  • the camera has been overhauled; its behavior is mostly the same, but it now does "sticky" platform snapping (landing on a high platform and immediately doing a quick hop should still cause the camera to snap to the platform) and has some specialized behavior for e.g. balloon lexy
  • platforms are a lot better but this is not very obvious since there weren't any platforms until now
  • pistons now have a pattern on them so it's more obvious when they're in motion
  • some existing levels have been renamed in an effort to have more memorable titles
  • wilds-02 has been adjusted to fix a softlock at the end when running out of slimes
  • wilds-03 has been adjusted to still be playable with the new slowdown as slime lexy passes through grates. also the corner heart has been removed, a candy corn has been added, the middle area has been made more interesting and relevant, and there is a reward for doing certain shenanigans
  • the "heartless" drone dungeon (from wilds-04) has been fixed to not have a trivial solution

fixed

  • boulders and hover platforms have been restored (oops)
  • dropping a cardboard box works again (oops)
  • pink fences have collision again (oops)
  • the atlas no longer crashes, if you cheated to get the atlas
