I can only post about raccoons that were on the porch in the past (which luckily includes my favorite raccoon story).
When I was little I left lots of toys on our back deck, and a family of raccoons would climb up and play with them at night.
The last raccoon I know was on my porch left little raccoon footprints on my porch chair, which is good I knew he was there.
Last time I saw a raccoon was at a hotel on the coast. Went out to get ice and there was an enormous, I'm talking twenty pounds if it was a gram, raccoon chilling on the trash can next to the ice machine. Neither of us seemed to know what to do about each other, so I just got some ice while he stared at me and we both went our separate ways.
