A pair of portraits done for current MegaZeux maintainer Lachesis (@MegaZeux) and her friend Asgromo (@doggo) while hanging out with them! These both use the default character set in MegaZeux, diagonals and all, with the exception of four-character diagonals I added mostly to draw the A in Lachesis' logo. (Editing the default set as needed is part of the spirit of classic MegaZeux development, anyway!)
(MegaZeux 8x14 font with edits, 80x50 characters, custom colors.)
Side Note:
MegaZeux is a game development platform that has existed since 1994, created as a successor to fellow text-mode GCS ZZT. It is today usable on a wide variety of platforms (including as a console homebrew) and has vastly expanded in its capabilities since its initial release in MS-DOS, to the point that it not only supports sprites but supports per-pixel sprite movement through its "unbound sprites" feature. You can even make mouse-driven point-and-click games if you wish! That's something that I've been picking at whenever the inspiration arises.
Until then, you can check out the featured games in the DigitalMZX site's featured-games rotation. They have been downright amazing in what they have been able to accomplish!
Update: Both images are now on my website here!
