the fox flux end-of-level tally screen has a little jingle that's about four seconds long, which is completely reasonable for a screen you see for about four seconds, but after having spent days fiddling with it i have heard this playing for hours on end and i think it is causing my brain to rewire somehow

When I'm doing writing I get like that sometimes I can't imagine how much worse it would be for music. Especially tiny little musical jingles.
