I have run headlong into Ongoing Discourse(tm) about obscure interactions between Python C extensions, the undefined symbols they depend on that eventually get resolved at runtime (by the host interpreter that's loading them), MacOS linker flags around handling unresolved symbols, and very recent MacOS changes to how unresolved symbols get resolved ("chained fixups"!).
