You know, sometimes I miss working at the Land of the Mouse, but other times I’m relieved when I think about how toxic the environment was.
It makes me unreasonably happy that it looks like Bingo is standing on my avatar.
day 7 of the yotsuben logo redesign challenge: Aperture Laboratories
not gonna lie, i was a little nervous about doing this one. i'm quite fond of valve games and the Aperture logo (plus all its variations) is pretty solid stuff. none of my rough ideas with an aperture (like the actual lens motif) worked, or they looked too close to the original, so i went for the portal angle instead, upon advice from my wife @dessy . i decided to focus on my fundamentals and just make sure every point was aligned and "clicked" into place. maybe i should post my rulers for this later lol.
anyway, i was pretty happy with how the final product turned out! maybe reads a bit too "theme park ride logo"-y BUT then again... kinda fits, especially with portal 2. originally i even had some little portal stick figures in there too but again dessy correctly surmised it was getting way too busy.
tomorrow: black mesa!
