A list of curses you might encounter or be struck with in your day to day life.
A "curse" can be basically any sort of magic that is applied to a person or thing that was not asked for. This makes an exhaustive list impossible, and contrary to popular belief, it means curses can be purely beneficial. However, creativity when faced with boundless options is hard, so the majority of curses can be found on this list anyway.

  • Frog Curse: Turns you into a frog. A classic.
  • Sheep Curse: Turns you into a sheep. A twist on a classic.
  • Animal Curse: Turns you into a specific animal. A variation on a classic from people who got tired of segmenting curse types needlessly.
  • Growth Curse: Makes you big.
  • Shrinking Curse: Makes you small.
  • ??? Curse: Inflicts 1/4 of your max HP every turn. Only ghosts do this.
  • Werewolf Curse: Not an actual curse, as despite what you may believe, werewolves are fully opt-in. On this list only due to popular belief.
  • Curse Curse: Makes any situation you find yourself in rated E10+. Variants exist that make the rating go even higher.
  • Mummy's Curse: A catch-all for stuff mummies do. Usually insects. Sometimes death.
  • Bad Luck Curse: Makes you have bad luck. A common example is crossing the path left by a black cat, after which you will have the bad luck of being too late to pet the cat.
  • Item Curse: Makes an object impossible to use or remove. Very difficult to discern from an item just becoming sticky in a non-magic way.
  • Sticky Curse: Also difficult to discern from an item just becoming sticky in a non-magic way.
  • Cursed Sword: Whenever someone curses a sword, they think it'd be really cool if the sword would used in crimes. So really, it'll either make you kill someone or make you gay, who knows.
  • Dying Curse: Awards you with a really cool sword1.
  • Curse of Darkness: 1476, Valachia.
A great war waged between Dracula and humanity. Just when it seemed that there was no hope for mankind to prevail, out of the darkness and dispair, a champion arose -- a trueblooded vampire hunter named Trevor Belmont. Belmont and his comrades triumphantly slew Lord Dracula -- a truly glorious victory for all.
However, the evil did not pass from this world in silence. With his final words, Lord Dracula left a demonic curse that enshrouded all of Europe in misery and torment.
(So yeah, watch out if you're in Europe)
  • Forest's Curse: Turns you partially into a tree. Not as bad as it sounds unless you are expecting to be hit by some fire, bugs, birds, ice, or poison.
  • Curse of the Obra Dinn: Wait that's not the title of that game. I've been tricked.
  • Mundane Curse: The worst curse. Makes it so you will never have another curse ever again. Its extremely boring, but thankfully rare. If you believe you have been inflicted with this curse, please contact your local university's curses department. They won't do anything about it, but they'd like to know.

And that's all of them. Let me know if you know of any other cool curses. I won't do anything with them.
