There is so SO much embarassing art from college yall. Just the most literalist illustrations. I may or may not be functionally autistic now but I think I probably was when I was 19. But the cool thing is they're not online anymore because I own my own website and choose not to share them! Anyway, here's some still lifes from around 2003 instead. I think everything but the earlier Gothic was a limited palette exercise for Painting 1.

2002 I really made a lot of fan art in my teens, like when, for example, a 2D RISD Foundations course asked us to make a triptych in goache using studies from the nature lab, and, since Bujold's Curse of Chalion is set in a late medieval Europe analog, you make it a pentagonal unfolding altar with each panel representing one of the family of deities and the center the Bastard. I may have also been reading Sandman comics.

2003 I don't know whether all my teenage work was this egoist or just the stuff I kept for my portfolio. Anyway that's not a screenshot, I drew the screen I was looking at in Photoshop, which was the real artistic exercise here, and then I printed out each repeated screen on a separate transparency and clipped it to my laptop displaying a selfie. My usual background was a picture of my long-distance boyfriend I had never met. This was inspired by Hofstader or something
