the future remains uncertain for independent musicians, with spotify increasing its hostilities towards us and the one genuinely favourable platform being sold to a company that clearly has little respect for who and what made bandcamp special. but i would prefer to look at the dawning year ahead not with trepidation, but with hope that the music will find a way
last month, "the inaccessible solitude of the sky", my second full length, released. many have offered kind words about it, despite being a bit darker in tone than my prior work. it explores themes of uncertainty, yearning, acceptance & catharsis, shaped by many of the struggles this year has placed on me. failing mental health, leaving behind my home of the past 20 years, and an all-too-sudden farewell to my cat whom i had the fortune of spending 13 years in the company of... to say the least of the crumbling state of the world
i hope to repay the smiles you have told me of when you've listened, the hard times my music has helped you through, the nanowrimo wordcounts that flew swiftly with the album as your soundtrack. choons to confess love to. a new year with new music to ease what burdens may come, exploring some new sounds that are exciting and perhaps a bit unusual at times. every purchase helps me out a lot in making more music happen, every share and positive word you can give to tell others to help them find their way to what balms & calms i can offer. it is all super appreciated, thank you 💗
