I'm still very mid on the mechanical aspect but the writing and plotting is just over-the-top good. Sam Lake was clearly just wearing a shit-eating grin every day he came into work
i can totally understand why he said in an interview (paraphrasing from memory) that he's achieved everything he wanted to with it
it makes for such an interesting comparison hey. control is such a stupid little baby next to it
I started replaying Control afterward and while it's still a fantastic game, it feels quaint next to the grandeur of AW2. Which is so jarring because it bumps up against my memories of Control being the grand spectacle
