I've managed to put together a good 5 tracks or so, and I think they're not even too bad. I am hoping to have a much bigger and more substantial release than my last one, with kind of a different overall vibe. A bit more "quiet LOUD quiet" sorta stuff, rather than just lots of riffs and heavy metal. Not that I don't love making riffs, but I do get a little tired and uninspired after a while when everything is just fast and loud.
The sorta style I am honing right now seems to shift between like, post-metal, funeral doom, shoegazey stuff, and like soft / loud dynamic grungey post-hardcore stuff. I dunno. Hopefully the styles don't clash too hard across whatever this album turns out to be. Either way, I'm having fun making it all, so I guess that's all that matters.
