at the risk of suggesting goat farming, glass and glass cutting tools should be available fairly cheaply at any major hardware store; it's a pretty easy skill (and cheap toolset) to pick up, i say as a painter who figured it out to cut to size my own palettes.

Yes thanks! I actually have all the tools I need for glass cutting but if I can get perfectly sized glass from a dollar store for not much money I'll go that route.
Eventually I'll get to goat farming this project with making my own photographic emulsion but that's a down the road project
