sometimes you just need to "deep fry" some images. now you can do it instantly from any* device.
i'm being told that safari might not support the "JPEG quality" parameter necessary to implement this website. it works in firefox & chrome. sorry!
please note that all browsers on iOS are basically technically Safari, so this wont work on iOS...
this rules!! i don't know how easy it would be to add, but if you could get it to add a small border or crop between deep fry iterations, you could get the jpeg blocks unaligned in a way that might look a bit more like organically deep fried images? (i have pondered building a tool like this before and am delighted to see yours -- back in the day i made a javascript image glitcher that would do small destructive edits to images as base64, but it got worse over the years as browsers started dealing with corrupt data in more sensible ways)
oh jeez i love the idea of glitching it via base64 encoding... wow
love the idea of adding shitty organic borders or weird crops. i also think this needs a "max resolution" concept since hi-res images don't look very crunchy downscaled.

there's no build steps so you can just look at it with view source, but i'm open to pull requests if you've got other features you'd like to add in. happy to call you out in the changelog and whatnot.

Okay so basically what you're calling your software doing "deep frying" is not what your software does, I already explained this in an addition to your post complimenting the software but here it is again: deep frying is not just adding jpeg artifacts to an image, in the past it was naturally caused by a post being screenshot and shared across multiple platforms, often being run through many "filters" on apps like instagram or snapchat, often also being shot with a camera off of a monitor for people who don't know how to screenshot, and the cycle continues, it's a complicated process and I'm wondering if it would be possible to emulate it with one software. I used many different tools and platforms to achieve my final image, not just one. I'm not making a request just wondering.
