2023 was at times suffocating, but despite the troubles i am elated to have brought three releases out over the course of the year which allowed me to practice various styles and approaches without concern for sticking to any one particular "genre" outside of the nebulous and umbrella-termed ambient
an ep of bright piano works inspired by 70s italian minimalism and the use of delay as a system of composition
a drone piece w/cello & granular processing in memory of stars of the lid's brian mcbride
and the guitar-led emo ambientgaze followup to my debut full-length, the second chapter of a concept series that follows a story through an apocalyptic loss, the journey to rebuild from the ashen remains, and the aching desire to dream bigger than what came before
even with the weight of regrets for some goals i was unable to accomplish still felt, it is important to recognise, appreciate, and celebrate all that was managed. and to smile, when i see that so many have found themselves able to connect to my work, and that we now all share those spaces the sound conjures and evokes together. i'm glad you're here. thank you for this year. here's to the next 💗
