to release something through the labels and collectives which have inspired me
to offer new music on cassette, cd, or minidisc
minidisc is a format i very much adore and have fond memories of using through the 00s and early 2010s, and still have a pocketful of foil-wrapped gold sony carts packed up somewhere. gets the joy of cassette's tactile plastic shell with much nicer audio quality, impossible not to love even if it's decades out of favour by now
likely still a distant goal, but one day i would love to get a record put to a stack of 25 or 50 as a nice little artefact!
Just wish it was accessible like CDs back in the day, parents were in debt throughout my childhood and I was lucky to have a Gameboy and PlayStation 2 at the very least.
I'm all on digital music ownership, but been considering collecting physical formats as long as I can form ways to back them up digitally. We'll see.
