oof, ok, honestly, better to know that they (ex from several months ago who i've been off and on trying to build a friendship with) only want to be acquaintences than to keep being unsure about whether they want to be friends or not. theyve got a lot going on and a complicated friendship is not what they need rn. honestly probably the objectively correct call, anyways. probably better for me as well as for them. still hurts a teeny tiny bit, but i do feel much better in the certainty of rejection.
ok cool now time to tell a girl a have a crush on her tomorrow and probably get rejected by her, too lol 😅 but at least i do know pretty well that she will want to keep being my friend regardless
