The BangleJS v2 is not what you would call a flagship smartwatch
But it is made by some guy in the UK as a hobby project. It tells the time, and records what could be considered fitness activity, and also tells me I do not sleep at all. The interface is even quite sluggish when trying to view notifications. But more importantly, that data goes nowhere other than to my phone via bluetooth so I can look at it.
Honestly I don't need a smartwatch to do much. This one does plenty.
i feel like adhd has saved me from some headache here. i used to wear my fitbit all the time except showers and when it was charging. but after a shower a few months ago it fell off my nightstand onto the floor between the nightstand and the wall, and there it has stayed
it also helps that i have an actual medical device now (cpap) that gives me daily feedback on my sleep that is actually useful, like how many events i have. still, this fuckin sucks
